Position Summary 

The Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the company and its clients, overseeing account activities, managing deliverables, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. The Account Manager collaborates closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and project management, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs and support business objectives.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned healthcare clients, fostering advisory relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership growth. 
  • Track key account metrics (usage, engagement, initiatives, renewals) and prepare regular reports or business reviews for clients and internal leadership. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business strategy, clinical objectives, and operational initiatives; translate those goals into actionable account plans that leverage company solutions and product features. 
  • Proactively identify and address client challenges, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical or service-related concerns. 
  • Manage renewals and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional software modules, integrations, or services. 
  • Oversee concurrent initiatives, implementations, and deliverables across large, complex healthcare organizations. Support project managers in coordinating timelines, stakeholders, and internal resources to ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope. 
  • Partner with product, implementation, and customer support teams to advocate for client needs, influence product roadmaps, and ensure the delivery of high-quality service. 

Experience & Knowledge Requirements 

  • 8+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or client partnership roles. Preferably within Healthcare SaaS. 
  • Proven success managing large, complex enterprise accounts in healthcare, while consistently meeting or exceeding renewal and expansion targets.  
  • Experience conducting strategic account plannings, aligning software capabilities with client business initiatives and outcomes (examples: quality improvement, cost reduction, patient experience). 
  • Track record of developing executive-level relationships and presenting business cases or ROI models to senior stakeholders. 
  • Strong understanding of SaaS fundamentals; data integrations, APIs, analytics, and user adoption frameworks. 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
