PULSE
Medaxion 9.5.2 Pending. This patch release includes fix for long case chart interface sluggishness, focus issue when using select separate 3rd party authentication apps, SSO requirement, and smaller bug fixes and performance improvements. We anticipate an End-July 2026 AppStore timeframe.Single Sign-On (SSO) Required Login Option. On the Web, administrators can now disable Medaxion login for users who should authenticate exclusively via their organization’s Single Sign-On (SSO) systems, strengthening security compliance. This option will be available on mobile devices with Medaxion 9.5.2.
Return to Provider (RTP) Batch Alerting. RTP now supports batch alerting mode, enabling more efficient alert processing and reduced serial alerts to providers.
RTP Web Access. Clinicians can access their RTP assignments directly from the Web. Additionally, any case anesthesia record is now visible from within Web RTP view, including records from external systems.
Personal QuickSet Categories. Personal QuickSets can now be organized into Categories, giving providers more granular control over QuickSet presentation.
Web PreOp Entry Location Tag Search. Web PreOp Entry search now includes Location Tag as a searchable field, making it easier to find entries across practices that use location tags.
Medaxion 9.6 in Development. This important release will include the following capabilities: pediatric patient flag, medication-allergy images, ICD-CPT live updates, 1-minute vitals/ 3-minute monitors chart option, and Exit OR event automatic stop of vitals and monitors. We anticipate release in Q4 2026.
RCM
Queue System Expansion. RCM queue workflow additions include: distinct Coding and Registration queues with role-based access and manual queue movement reasons.Coding Workflow Expansion: Additions include: visible ICD-CPT descriptions and the ability to create separate start/stop times for each ASA-CPT/Provider combination. CPT to pseudocode Crosswalk is now also option.
Case Documents Expansion: Case images and executable forms now are available in the RCM display, giving reviewers more information without leaving the workflow. In additional, all Documents have been relocated from the right panel to the lower left navigation in the Coding view.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Database Read Distribution: Medaxion implemented separate/distributed database reads and writes to improve platform reliability and performance under load.Security Hardening: Multiple security improvements have been deployed: automation implemented for ongoing dependency scanning, and known JavaScript vulnerabilities patched.
Database Query Performance: Medaxion resolved a few impactful recursive query issues across multiple Web views, including Practice Users, Item Types, and Large Screen Display.
